Labyrinth at The Light House

Facebook Profile

The Labyrinth is on the path leading to the Temple. It is a five channel classical Labyrinth on painted concrete.

A labyrinth is a pattern marked on the ground or floor that is walked as an aid to reflection and meditation.... You cannot get lost in a labyrinth. The journey generally consists of three parts – the journey in, being at the centre, and the journey out....

The labyrinth is viewed as a metaphor for life’s journey. It offers lessons as we walk the path. Walking the labyrinth assists us to address challenges, meditate, pray, and find peace and serenity.

The Labyrinth at The Light House can be walked any time the gate to The Light House is open. You can also walk it before or after your Clinic appointment.

There are facilitated walks for individuals or groups – check the facebook page for details. https://www.facebook.com/LabyrithAtTheLightHouse/

Labyrinth at St Luke's

This is a Medieval style labyrinth that Rose has restored. It is at the old St Luke’s Church site, on the corner of Manchester and Kilmore Streets in Christchurch. It is made of bricks from a previous church, and is permanently open.

This area is being developed for apartments, but the Labyrinth is available until February 2024. There is a guided walk each Saturday at 10am.

The labyrinth is viewed as a metaphor for life’s journey. It offers lessons as we walk the path. Walking the labyrinth assists us to address challenges, meditate, pray, and find peace and serenity.
